How 1Password Teams Starter Pack is priced, and what that does as you grow

Priced per organisation — $24.95 a month covering 10 users, then $4.99 for each person beyond that.

That split matters more than the headline: the first 10 seats are bundled, and the marginal cost of person 11 is $4.99 — a different number from the one on the vendor's pricing page, and the one that decides what a hire costs you.

Annual billing only

1Password does not offer month-to-month billing on this plan. That has a consequence most comparisons skip: there is no mid-term downgrade. If this turns out to be the wrong plan in month two, you carry it for ten more months. Run your audit 60 days before renewal, because the renewal date is the only day of the year your decision can take effect.

The plan stops at 20

1Password Teams Starter Pack cannot be bought for a team of 21. This is not a price rise — it is the plan becoming unavailable , and 1Password moves you to 1Password Business at $8.99 per user. The bill goes from $74.85 at 20 people to $188.79 at 21 — a 152% increase caused by a single hire.

A ceiling deserves more planning than a price. Changing plan means re-provisioning everyone at a moment you did not choose, so if your headcount plan crosses 20 inside a year, make the move while it is unhurried rather than when the ceiling makes it for you.

What this page does not tell you

Price is the easiest thing to verify and the least likely to decide whether a tool was a good idea. This page says nothing about whether your team will actually adopt it, how quickly you can remove someone's access when they leave, whether your data comes out in a usable shape, or what support is like when something breaks at month end.
